Counseling is a synergistic process between our clients, staff, and the God who holds all things together.
We strive to clothe ourselves in Christ and tackle every situation in a way that honors him. This means we approach every individual and family from a holistic perspective that addresses their physical, psychological, relational, and spiritual needs. We work to identify the needs of those nearing homelessness, create a goal-based plan to meet their needs, and provide or refer them to the appropriate resources.
What is biblical counseling?
Ed Welch of the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation explains it well:
"[B]iblical counseling does not simply consist of a counselor finding a few pithy verses in a concordance and telling you to read them each day and pray about your problem (the counseling equivalent to 'take two aspirin and call me in the morning'). Instead it is a partnership between people who are seeking God’s wisdom - a wisdom that goes to the heart of the matter. It is a wisdom that can penetrate a person’s inmost being."
